David Rozansky commented on a post Publishers Weekly Just Doesn’t Get It: On-Demand Publishing is Becoming the Norm Among Traditional Publishers by David Rozansky "Let's see, we look at submitted manuscripts, select a few according to our editorial standards, which are very strict, set the book to type, send the book to the publsiher, sell teh book through major . . ." more Jun 16, 2009 11:25PM EDT

Hey, Book Warriors, what is your declaration of war? What do you tell your coworkers and customers are the reasons for choosing your store over your competition? And how do you tell them?

I am David A. Rozansky, and I write a Gather column called "Readers, Writers and Royalties." These articles cover the book trade, and are written with bibliophiles of all types in mind, from readers and authors to publishers and booksellers. Rather than talking about what books to recommend or review, I spend more time on how books are made, marketed and sold.
This group is for posting those articles, and for fielding questions and comments related to this topic, as well as reader responses to the articles. I will also try to post articles offered by group members, but please know that I am a bit picky, as this is meant to be a focused group on this topic. I look forward to your comments, and I hope that you will enjoy my look at the book industry. If you like what you read, you may wish to subscribe to my articles. Group Tags
